Subjects - Humanities

The humanities department covers the subjects of Geography, History, RE at key stages three and four.

Humanities aim is to provide a greater understanding of places, religions, social groups and the environment.  As pupils study humanities they encounter different societies and cultures and begin to understand how geography, history and RE interact with each other.   It aims to help pupils develop their own opinions and to consider how political, economic, social and environmental factors affect a range of geographical, historical and religious issues, thus providing an over-view to where they live and man’s heritage within it.
